New Moon in Taurus 7/8.05.2024
We have such a beautiful line up of planets above at the moment – with the new Moon, Sun, Uranus, Jupiter and Venus all in Taurus together!
Taurus is ruled by Venus which brings you the benevolent energies of beauty, bounty and love, and the moon is in its element and elevated in its intensity (exalted) when in Taurus. Jupiter expands everything so will be raising all positive vibrations of this new moon. Uranus loves to surprise us – you might find yourself enjoying great gifts that you never expected – in body, heart, mind or spirit – or perhaps in all of these parts of Self!
This is a time to come back to love if you have found yourself living in fear. A time to come into the present moment rather than ruminating about what has passed or being concerned about what may lie ahead. The Taurus new moon will help you to ground – and encourages you to look for ways to ground your energy, presence being a major tool for this.
The Sun and Moon are both at 18 degrees Taurus – adding to the number 9 – which is about completing cycles and the number 1 is teaming up with the new moon in that it heralds new beginnings, new ideas, new ventures, and new cycles. Number 8 is a number of leadership and power, and in shamanic teachings, the number of wholeness as it represents the 8 directions and worlds – Spirit, Body, Heart, Mind - Within, Without, Above and Below.
Crystal Mandala Guidance
I was drawn to include beautiful locally harvested red and orange agate as well as carnelian in this mandala. These will assist you to ground yourself into whatever you focus on and to feel secure in all areas of your life. Their vibration is so in tune with nature, and your true heart nature. The central sphere bring passion for life and love – the energy to be passionate in relationships, and about new ventures, embracing opportunities that support internal and external growth and change.
The green fluorite in the centre brings clarity of mind and encourages you to detox and cleanse your body as well. It connects you with the daily chores and solutions for the challenges of living on earth and with your higher purpose all at the same time. The beautiful big chunks of green amazonite highlights abundance and attracts the bounty that Venus brings and also which is a gift of Taurus. It is an empowering crystals that supports you to have the courage to make changes that will bring you into a place of Truth and your True Nature and this alignment naturally attracts beauty, bounty and love.
The selenite and clear quartz crystals anchor and activate all of the beautiful gifts being showered upon you under this new Taurus Moon and Sun.

Under this New Moon, you are encouraged to embrace the Archetype of the Alchemist, and transmuting and renewing your perception of yourself and your life with great passion and enthusiasm. Step fully into your True Heart Nature, which is a state of pure love. When you release all fear from your mind and heart, by living in the present moment, breathing deeply into the truth of who you are and how much you are capable of giving and receiving love, life will take you on a more graceful, beautiful and bountiful path.
Love yourself, your life, and your loved ones with great enthusiasm. Surprise yourself and those around you by not over reacting to anything that may tempt you into fear – by being more gracious, more accepting and more loving than you every thought was possible. Ground yourself into beloved Mother Earth at every opportunity – travel to a body of water where you can stand in it and feel the earth beneath your feet at the same time. Be both grounded and fluid in how you walk the earth, how you view your life. Believe life can be magnificent – and it will be!

FYI: Mandala means 'circle' in Sanskrit and are created for many different reasons, including to hold energy. Each new and full moon, I will created a mandala to hold the energy this community, drawing on Daily Co-Creation cards to guide the week.

Step to Create Your Own Mandala

Gather your crystals or objects to create your mandala. Let your intuition guide you. You will need nine of these for your foundational circe. If you take any objects from Nature, search for those on the earth if you can. If you pick anything from plants and trees, make sure you give thanks as you go. I like to greet and ask a blessing to do this from the spirit of the plant or tree.

Find the right place in your home where you can lay out your mandala. Lay out a cloth as a base.

Create a circle of Intention by marking out the four Cardinal Directions, East, North, West, South. Each direction will have an association. Choose and object to represent each of these directions. For now, you can use the directions I teach to guide you, however you may develop or be taught other directions. In Australia, the sun moves from East to North, to West, to South, In the Southern Hemisphere, it moves from East, to South, to West to North. It is best to layout your mandala Sun-wise, according to where you live as this is the way energy moves. The aspect of each cardinal direction is explained in the next step.

East is Spirit, the place where you are reminded of your identity, values and purpose. North represents your Body and world of Physical Health and Wealth and world comforts. West holds space for your Heart and loving connections. South guides your Mind, communication and focus.

The Centre is your intention for creating the mandala. All other directions support this intention. Choose an object to represent your intention for today, or for the week.

Place other objects around the centre creating a circle as you join the four directions. You can call in what you need to support your quest and/or each direction (supporting your spirit, body, heart and mind) with each object that you lay down.

It is always a good idea to bring gratitude into your mandalas. I like to surround the mandala with a circle of gratitude for what I have supporting me. This can take time. You can integrate gratitude as you lay out each direction. Keep it simple or make it as complex as you like.

If you have cards for guidance, you can shuffle them and ask for a card for each direction to guide you as to what you can do today to walk more consciously and to support your intention. I do this every day, using the mandala to hold this energy. I change my mandalas each two weeks to clear and refresh the space in my home.

Stand back and look at you mandala and absorb its energy in to your own field with your breath and intention. Connect with the central intention that you have named and say a co-creation mantra of invitation: I invite in (name your intention) today, may it find it way to me now with ease and grace, let it be so, and so it is, thank you.
